The Poetry of Bonnie Rogers

POET’S BIO:
Hello, my name is Bonnie and I've been writing since grade school. In the last twenty years I've become more passionate about my writing and the journey it has taken me on. Share your voice with all who will listen. These words are a
journey through the heart, mind, and soul. Words need to be expressed through ink as well as tears that may be shed along the way. Without a voice we are left with silence. I believe in allowing our inner voice to come forth and explore the many possibilities and paths that our life may take meandering onward with the knowledge that is gained along the way.

  ‘Tis a Lesson

Review

Your calloused hands cling to faith
Upon your knees of silent despair
Warmth dances gently around
Though your soul is quite unaware
Perhaps in the scheme of things
When you lost all hope and strength
It is then at those certain moments
You sojourn onward at any length
Head held high as you meander through
On the broken road of life's review

Thoughts Pondered

Is there a purpose
some type of meaning
to trace the worry
to embrace the balance
to conquer the fears
of life's trials; tribulations
Did we stop listening?
Neglecting the ultimate truth
of the significant power
of divine knowledge ahead

'Tis A Lesson

Oh hollow heart why do you weep
beneath the willow fast asleep
Why do you drown your dreams
on unpleasant midnight scenes

Who will summon desolate words
hidden beneath tides that churn
Lie not stilled unchartered thoughts
unmask thyself from tattered knots

Searching for flow, clash with tides
mimics undertows through out time
Who shall seek successions demise
battered heart lies unrecognized

Upon forbidden fragmented dreams
tossed upon the shoreline screams
Lay there sifting through memories
'Tis a lesson brought forth by misery
